Application of precision agriculture in the field of olive farming. Design and development of an aerial platform (RPAS) equipped with sensors capable of monitoring parameters that provide objective information about the water and nutrient status of the olive trees, providing an estimate of the amount of crop, as well as an assessment of the existence or not of pests and diseases. The platform will be complemented with a network of low-cost sensors installed on the field. All the information obtained through the monitoring of the crops will be presented to the olive producer employing web applications, smartphones and tablets in an easily interpretable way, specifically through illustrative maps.
The Huelva-Algarve coastline is an outstanding tourist destination, multiplying its urban centres several times its population during the summer season. This produces a sharp increase in intra-urban travel to areas of particular interest, such as beaches, generating a complex and multifactorial problem. To mitigate it, T²UES aims to promote the establishment of a light and agile intra-urban transport ecosystem. To this end, a recharging station will be designed and tested based solely on renewable energy and small, light electric vehicles. Its implementation will be promoted through demonstrations in the controlled environment provided by the UHU Campus.
- Unión Europea EP – INTERREG V A España Portugal (POCTEP)
Innovation and digital skills promotion in European teaching centres and universities for new training profiles related to hydrogen, renewable energies and climate change.
Development of an e-learning platform to facilitate concise, practical and permanent learning that also supports the updating of knowledge of active professionals.
Development of an RPAS system that can be operated from an offshore vessel and provides its crew with relevant data to facilitate navigation. The development of the RPAS includes artificial vision and communications systems and an on-board platform for landing and take-off.
Design and, development of an autonomous, scalable, auto-deployable, monitoring and remotely reprogrammable mobile electricity generation system. It includes a subsystem for the production of electricity from renewable sources (photovoltaic generator + wind generator + fuel cell), an electrical energy storage subsystem (batteries + hydrogen in the form of metal hydrides), an electrical energy distribution subsystem and an instrumentation and control subsystem. The system can be stored in one or two standard containers capable of being carried by conventional transportation means, and automatically deployed anywhere in the world through a robotic arm, which acts as a crane and is originally programmed for the deployment site.
- INTERCONECTA European Regional Development Fund Programme, CDTI (Spanish acronym for Centre for Industrial and Technological Development)
European project that analyses the effects of the upper layers of the atmosphere on terrestrial and Earth-to-space communication systems.
Creation of the Spiral2 infrastructure in Ganil (France). It is a particle accelerator with acceleration potential of up to 40 MV capable of accelerating deuterons up to 40 MeV and heavy ions up to 14.5 MeV/u. The produced radioactive ion beams can be used in different nuclear reaction mechanisms such as fusion and fission.
European project that analyses the effects of the ionosphere on radio communication systems.
